About Hester De Groot

My name is Hester Turan-de Groot and i live Assen, a small town in the North of Holland with my husband and my dog Blacky. In 2005 I graduated from The Graphic Media Institute in Amsterdam , part of the Graphic Lyceum. At the moment I am working as a graphic designer for the National Dutch Police Force. I am passionate about everything that has to do with graphic design, but i also have a love for carpets, textiles and interior design. My inspiration comes mainly from Mexican, Native American, Moroccan and Indian designs and the art and design from the sixties and seventies. Keywords: nature, graphic and interior design, color, desert, animals, travel, blues, cactuses, furniture, peace, love and tranquility.

Mijn naam is Hester Turan-de Groot en ik woon in Assen, een klein stadje in het Noorden van Nederland met mijn man en mijn hondje Blacky. Ik ben in 2005 afgestudeerd aan het Grafisch Media Instituut in Amsterdam, onderdeel van het Grafisch Lyceum. Momenteel werk ik als grafisch ontwerper bij de Nationale Politie Nederland. Ik ben gepassioneerd over alles wat met grafisch ontwerp te maken heeft, maar ik heb ook een voorliefde voor tapijten, textiel en interior design. Ik ben voornamelijk geinspireerd door ontwerpen uit Marokko, India, Mexico en Native America, maar ook door de art en design uit de sixties en seventies. Trefwoorden: natuur, grafisch ontwerp, interieur, kleuren, woestijn, dieren, reizen, blues, cactussen, meubels, peace, love en rust.
